UK Crypto Advocacy Group Launches Campaign as 40% of Bank Transfers to Exchanges Are Blocked

According to The Block, UK crypto advocacy group Stand With Crypto launched a campaign on June 11 urging banks to lift restrictions on cryptocurrency exchange transfers. The organization reported that approximately 40% of UK bank crypto transactions are blocked or delayed, with 80% of exchanges seeing increased customer friction. A single exchange reported cancellations worth nearly $1.3 billion over one year due to bank denials. Stand With Crypto UK has mobilized over 286,000 registered advocates to file complaints with banks over blanket policies applied even to FCA-registered compliant exchanges.
