US Dollar Speculative Longs Hit $16.5B, Highest Level Since February 2025

According to The Kobeissi Letter, speculative long positions in US dollar have surged to $16.5 billion as of early June 2026, marking the highest level since February 2025. These positions, accumulated by hedge funds and asset managers betting on price trends and macro views, have grown threefold over the past two weeks and maintained net-long status for 11 consecutive weeks—the longest streak since 2024. The US dollar index has risen 3% since late January amid stronger economic resilience compared to other major economies.
