According to Jin10, Venezuela’s government announced on May 17 that businessman Alex Saab has been expelled over alleged involvement in multiple U.S. crimes. Saab, who served as one of former President Nicolas Maduro’s most influential financial operatives, has been detained in a Caracas prison since early February. The expulsion marks a significant development in judicial cooperation between Caracas and Washington, following Maduro’s capture by U.S. forces in January.
