KKR Head Says AI Power Demand Likely Underestimated; Data Usage Up 500x Since BlackBerry Era

According to Raj Agrawal, head of real assets at KKR & Co., AI's rapid growth suggests power demand may be significantly higher than market expectations. Speaking at a Morgan Stanley-hosted finance conference on Wednesday, Agrawal noted that current smartphone users now consume roughly 500 times more data than BlackBerry users did historically. He added that both enterprises and individual consumers are still in the early stages of AI adoption.
