Megaport Secures A$458.9M in AI Contracts, Raises A$827.3M on June 3

According to Reuters, Australia's Megaport secured four AI infrastructure contracts worth approximately A$458.9 million (US$329 million) and launched a fully underwritten capital raise of A$827.3 million (US$593 million) on June 3. The contracts with US-based technology providers are expected to commence in the first half of 2027. Megaport priced the offer at A$14.30 per share, representing a 13.9% discount to its June 1 closing price.

The company also announced plans to build a globally distributed AI inference cloud, backed by A$350 million in investment and offering on-demand GPU pools with contracted and usage-based pricing models.
