According to Bitcoin.com News, Ripple announced on June 10 that it is partnering with Mastercard and over 30 industry participants to support autonomous AI agent payments through its XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin. The initiative, called Agent Pay for Machines, targets machine-driven commerce across use cases including digital service purchases, logistics payments, and warehouse handling fees. Ripple emphasized that XRPL enables enterprises to enforce spending limits, authorization rules, and audit requirements while agents settle transactions in seconds with predictable costs and programmable compliance.
